It’s been a while since we updated you on the project underway at 3025 JFK Boulevard – the first new construction structure being built within the Schuylkill Yards masterplan. So, we went by the site recently to grab some photos of what’s happening on the ground (and in the sky).
As a reminder, this tower will rise 28 stories and will contain 326 residential units over 18 floors, 200,000 square feet of life sciences or office space, 9,000 square feet of retail space, and 115 automobile parking spots. The building will be 570,000 total square feet and is being developed by Brandywine Realty Trust.
It looks like concrete work has reached the 13th floor and the facade installation is wrapping up on the fifth floor. If you look at the renderings for the project, you’ll notice that the top section is thinner than the bottom section of the building. The top section is where the apartments will be located while the office space will be located in a majority of the thicker bottom section.
We’re really excited to watch this tower continue to rise and to see its impact on the skyline when it’s completed. We’re also looking forward to seeing how the additional residents and businesses that this tower attracts will energize this section of Philadelphia.
Do you like the look of the facade that’s being installed? How do you feel about the overall project and all of the construction planned around 30th Street Station?
