About a month ago, we told you about an adaptive reuse project near the York-Dauphin Station in East Kensington at 1825 E. Boston St. Check out that article for background information about the original structure and the project in general.
The project consists of an overbuild of the original structure and a 6-story new construction addition in the lot next to the warehouse building. Since plans were released last month, it looks like the unit count has increased from 138 to 139 apartments. The project will also include industrial and maker space, a community garden, a roof deck, and a dog run. 28 of the residential units are reported be affordable.
Additional renderings are now available in anticipation of the project’s April 20th meeting with the Civic Design Review (CDR). How do you feel about the design?
